PEER Physics is offering a limited number of scholarships to outstanding Cohort applicants who would not otherwise be able to participate. Since we receive more requests for financial assistance than we can fulfill, scholarship awards are based on one or more of the following criteria:

  • Collaborative Need: Teachers who are seeking to collaborate with a community of other growth-oriented physics instructors who may not find this level of collaboration in their schools or districts.
  • School Resources: Teachers who do not have funding from their school or district to gain access to physics curricular resources and/or professional development.
  • Impact: Teachers who work in a public school that serves students from groups who are traditionally underrepresented in the field of Physics.

Scholarships provide a $2,000 discount for participants.

Scholarship applicants need to complete both the Scholarship Application (below) and the 2024 Cohort ApplicationEach application will be open until July 1st, 2024.  Applicants will be notified of their acceptance and scholarship awards by July 1st.  Awardees are asked to accept their place in the 2024 Cohort by submitting a $250 deposit by July 1st, 2024. An invoice for the remaining amount will be issued on July 1st, 2024 and must be paid within 30 days.

These scholarships are intended to provide financial support to individual teachers from a district.  At this time, PEER Physics does not offer scholarships for district-wide participation.  If you are interested in learning more about our district packages, please contact info@PEERphysics.org.
